For being a fairly recent graduate from an OHSU dental program, Dr. Eshraghi is surprisingly compassionate as well as capable. This was the FIRST time, after years of dental work, that it didn't hurt for me to get some deep cavities worked on! Normally, in my experience, the anesthetic wears off and it starts to hurt after they've been drilling for awhile. Then, they charge you more to get another round of shots. But, I never even had to ask this time! I didn't feel a thing, and I didn't even take the sedative he prescibed beforehand!! It is easy to get an appointment here, and they are open late nights and weekends, which is very convenient for the working class! Also, I don't have dental insurance, but I was able to charge everything to Care Credit. That makes it much easier for me to afford my dental care! And, this place is also pretty affordable compared to other places! I'm getting dental insurance soon, and I will insist that they cover this location, because I would never go anywhere else now! I have never gone to any other dentist since that first visit. Over the years my family grew and my wife and two children went to Dr. Tom and Dr. Shirley for their dental needs. I will never forget my young daughter being extremely afraid of getting a shot of anesthesia. She was so surprised when Dr. Mercer said … 'You’re all done.' She did not even feel the shot. As my family grew, the Doctor Mercer’s family grew, as well as their practice. They opened a new dental office in Rancho Cucamonga and eventually sold their practice in Riverside. I continue to make the drive from Riverside, still today Equally important to interject is recognition of the outstanding administrative support staff, dental hygienists and dental assistants.
