I wasn't having any luck on finding a studio in my area that offered them. I was referred by a friend to Sundance Yoga Studio. I checked out their website at the beginning of July and saw that they offered a session on Sundays from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. This day and time slot was perfect for me. The website listed that the classes began mid-July so I called the studio to get signed up. I called the studio for 3 days in a row at various times of the day and got no answer at all from anyone. Just a machine. I finally was able to get a response via email from the owner, and she informed me that even though the website stated that the pre-natal session began in July that they weren't offering the classes until September. Come mid-August, I called the studio again to sign up for the September classes. I was then informed that they were actually beginning the classes that coming Sunday instead of September like I was told previously. Good thing I called right? She told me that I was on her list of people who were interested to contact about the pre-natal class, but to send her a ""reminder email"" to say that I was interested. I emailed her right away, and got a response the following day saying that I was NOT on her list of people interested, but could I start that coming Sunday at 9:00 a.m. I told her no, because the website states (and has stated this whole time) that the classes were at 4:00 p.m. and I was not interested in a 9:00 a.m. class. Why did the schedule on the website stay the same this entire time, but somehow it went from July, to September, to August and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. This owner is very unorganized and this type of behavior is very unprofessional coming from a business. If you're going to change your class schedule on a daily basis, you may want to change your website to coincide with these spur of the moment changes as well. I would never recommend such an unprofessional business to anyone. I belong for this reason, and because they happen to have machines that work particularly well with some joint issues I have. HOWEVER, I wouldn't recommend this place to most sane people. They no longer provide towels, apparently because they don't trust us not to steal them. The people who work here have no interest in the comfort of the guests. Upstairs, where there are some machines and all the weight equipment (plus all the windows!), the people at the front desk now spend their time watching very loud movies on a giant screen over the front desk. If you happen to want to listen to music on headphones while you work out, forget it. You can't escape the gunshots, etc. from the huge TV, and they refuse to turn it down, even if you're alone there with just the person behind the desk. Downstairs, where most of the exercise machines lurk in a windowless room, there are some TVs on the walls and TVs on the individual machines as well. However, the options on the machines are very limited. For example, for a long time they only had FOX news as an option, along with the E station and ESPN. But since the guy who runs the gym lives for football, he has ESPN tuned to some kind of football-only station most of the year. Don't expect to watch a baseball game you were watching at home. Even if it's the final game of the Word Series, you won't be able to watch it in that gym, and they won't change the channels to accomodate you. If you like tennis, forget that too. The finals of Wimbledom? Better stay home to watch. The general idea is that this place is all about the people who run it. The women are neighborhood women who will bit your head off if you even think to complain. There's also the issue of membership. They make it very hard to leave the gym, even if you've been a loyal member for many years. I've heard some horror stories from people who've tried to leave and found themselves charged and then subjected to claims from collection agencies. So be careful. This place is not about you.
