People told me that buying a home is one of the most stressful processes one will go through -- but Megan Kopman from Ballast Realty Group sincerely made every step of the transaction comfortable & enjoyable. As a first-time home buyer, I knew nothing about the housing market or what was required of me -- but at our first meeting, Megan provided me with a detailed time-line & worksheet so I would know what to expect and when to expect it (mortgage dates, inspections, hiring a real-estate attorney, etc). I told her the kind of condo I was looking for and the very next day, she had a list of great properties that fit my criteria. Even more impressive, she provided me with an analysis of the location of the properties so I could factor in the re-sale value when making my final decision. That won me over as it showed she wasn't looking for a quick sale, but really cared about helping me make a decision that would be financially beneficial to me in the short and long run. I actually initially selected a property that Megan talked me out of due to re-sale considerations, and she found me a much better property within a week. Also, being new to Boston I didn't know much about the neighborhoods, but Megan broke down each of the areas for me. She even took the time to drive me around the neighborhoods in which we were looking at condos -- pointing out grocery stores, running trails, and hidden neighborhood restaurants. The only sticky part of the transaction was due to a mortgage mishap due to chaos the mortgage lenders were facing, but Megan worked directly with my mortgage broker to fight tooth and nail for me so that I would receive my mortgage in time for the closing and at the original rate that was quoted to me. Not only was Megan extremely fun & easy to get along with, her attention to detail and timeliness was amazing. She had been a real estate attorney at one of Boston's major law firms before opening her own brokerage -- and it shows. Even the real estate attorney who represented me in the sale told me she could tell Megan was an attorney by the level of professionalism and attention to detail she exerted throughout the transaction. As a first-time home buyer, I was full of questions and doubts, but Megan helped me into a beautiful new condo in 2 months. The transaction was quick, seamless & FUN! I have allowed WPM to manage my property for over 7 years and at first, all was well. Then about 5 years ago things started to fall apart and have continued to increase speed of their incompetency, indecisiveness and lack of professionalism has taken its tole on my, my funds and my property. Please do not allow them to manage your property. They do not follow their own contract or company policies when managing your property and due to their negligence has cost me $$$. They blatantly lie to you when they are the ones in the wrong. Those that are saying nice things that sound to professional are the people that work for them or family or friends. They do not check on my property at all and when they do the move out inspections they just glance at stuff and never turn anything on/off to see if it works. I've just fired them and hopefully can find a management company who truly has my property in their best interest.

They are quick at fixing small problems, but bigger issues may never be resolved. I have lived at one of their apartment complexes for 2 years and the light above my stove has not been fixed. I have put in several work orders and finally just gave up. The turnover rate for their team is rather high. I have not talked or email the same person twice. I would not recommend. RUN away while you can.
