They have an incredible variety of more than just fabric. Some of their mdse. is very well priced, much of the fabric does not seem to reflect much of a discount. (IMHO, a lot of fabric is WAAAAAAY over priced anyway). But, back to this store. The store is well organized and clean. BUT, it IS an outlet store and many outlet stores sell seconds. The quality is not always the same as the retail store. My #1 rule when shopping ANY outlet store is "Buyer beware". Check out everything. AND, be sure you ask questions (What if there is a flaw in the fabric that renders it useless?) and understand all their policies.

Horrible. This store has the WORST return policy. I bought 10yards of a white sheer and took it to my seamstress for curtains to be made. After rolling it out there was a black string sewn into the fabric and after a call to the store I was told there was ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS.....um excuse me but isn't it the stores job to catch those things when the fabric comes in or when the employee is pulling it. I don't get to see the fabric as it's being pulled, so I would not recommend this store unless you plan on inspecting every piece and inch before they cut it. This is unfortunate as they have a lot of great fabrics. Guess I'll be going to Denver more often!

I have never had any problem getting help when I needed it at Foam and Fabric. I have had to wait at times, but this is only because they were very busy. The sales personal have been knowledgeable, courteous and willing to answer my questions and show me where something was if I couldn't find it. I like the variety of materials they have and the convenience of it being not too far from my home. I would recommend this store to others.

Best store ever!! I was visiting Florida this summer and fell in love with the place all over again - I used to shop there for years when I lived in Florida. Wish they had a place like this here in Seattle.... The staff is SUPER courteous, and knowledgeable, and prices are awesomeВ… and the choices!!!!!!!!! They made a special order for me for a fabric I saw on a different website and it got shipped straight to my house in no time. They truly go out of their way to make sure that they have assisted you in every way they can. Love this place, can't wait to come back to Florida to go visit the Sewing Studio (although I know I can also order stuff online and over the phone with them as wellВ…) it truly is THE BEST STORE EVER!

My wife recently purchased custom blinds from this company. She had something come up where we couldn't meet with the installer called and left a voicemail unfortunately the company did not get to the installer in time so we were charged $40 for him showing up ,then my wife's grandmother sets up an appointment for the interior designer to get charged $75. Her grandmother cleans her house for 2 days expecting the woman to show up and the woman calls an hour ahead of time and tells her the owner of the company scheduled another appointment. my wife and I will never use this company again very disappointing

I needed to have a chair reupholstered, so I sent a message to the email address listed on the website for a quote, including a picture and dimensions. I got a reply with a reasonable amount (the lowest of 5 places I contacted), so I told them I would bring it in when the fabric I ordered arrived. I had to arrange to get a van since I don't have a vehicle large enough to transport the chair. When my husband and I arrived with the chair and fabric, we were told it would be more expensive than we were quoted. I told them who I had talked to, but apparently that was someone at the Charlotte location and their rates were very different. The Raleigh location does not have an upholsterer on site, so they send everything to High Point and you have to pay for the transportation. Also, since I didn't order the fabric through them, that was going to add another 25%. The lady at the store seemed very irritated at us. I felt that they should have mentioned the additional charge for having my own fabric and they should have asked what location I would be going to since I had no idea the pricing would be different. The final price ended up being higher than any of the other quotes I had gotten, so there was no way I was going to leave the chair there.

My wife stopped in with 3 of her closest friends while they were on a getaway weekend. My wife caught her finger on a nail sticking out of the front porch hand rail and was cut. When she went to let the owner know, for the safety of other patrons, she was treated very rudely. The owner grabbed a hammer without saying a word and just began walking toward the front door. My wife was amazed that there was not even a kind word from the owner such as... "Oh, I'm sorry"... "Would you like to wash your hands?"... "Do you need a bandaid?"... NOTHING, NO RESPONSE AT ALL, until my wife exclaimed... Really? You're just going to walk away? Then the owner responded... "Well, I got the hammer!!!" UNBELIEVABLE!!! We will NEVER EVER patronize this store ever again. Sad that this owner believes that she has a right to be rude to her customers... guess she's never heard of "Word Of Mouth Advertising" or maybe simply... "The Golden Rule... To treat others as you would like to be treated! Shame!!!

I love the yarn selection at this store! I was confused as to who worked there and who was a customer like myself, so that made for an uncomfortable experience because I had no idea to whom my questions should be addressed. I went on a day when there was an EXCELLENT sale on cashmere yarns in the basement section, so that was a goldmine. Everything was 40% off! The girl who checked me out was really sweet and friendly. She helped me by telling me they had an online store, and since I was vacationing in Portland, I found this helpful to know. I will definitely shop Knit Purl online! Definitely worth a trip!

I am so confused when I read some of the other reviews. My experience with the store is only enjoyable and rather inspirational at times. The knitpurl that I visit on a regular basis is filled with the most beautiful yarn, the most wonderful assortment of knitting books and lastly, the most helpful and friendly staff imaginable. i have come into the store many times with a ""major"" knitting issue and they have always made time to help me. Yes, sometimes you have to wait until they are done helping others before they can help you but that is called being patient. I often leave the store feeling as if there is nothing beyond my abilities and for that I am very grateful...so are the recipients of all my knitted gifts. this shop is a disgrace to the quilting world! The owner believes that whatever hours she wants to be open, she'll be open. You can stop by anytime during normal business hours and 3 out of 4 times she won't be there. We've just stopped there on a quilt shop hop (preconfirming our arrival time) and she wasn't there. You just made 16 very unhappy quilters mad and you know how this spreads with other quilters. Might as well close your doors for good!!!
