I have been going to Price Optical for years for my glasses. They are always helpful and kind at Price. Mike is the bomb, when I can't find any glasses I like - he always comes up with at least 2 more choices. After all these years, he knows the style I like and always hooks me up. I won't go anywhere else for eye-glasses and I send everyone I know over there so they can get an awesome deal too!

What can I really say about this. First, my husband purchased my glasses with the coatings that Mike talked us into. Second, my glasses came in early but for some reason they didn't call me to let me know that there was a problem when they came back from the coatings lab. The problem is that the lenses were switched out. Third, I was told that I would have to wait for nearly a week longer to have them re done. I explained that my current glasses are too strong and it give me massive headaches and my eyes get tired fairly quickly. Do you think that made any difference. NO! They won't even comp me for the screw up. I even had a heavy set girl when I called Mike over to talk to him to tell me it wasn't his fault. Dear, I have news for you he is the owner and has to take responsibility for mistakes. I was even told to "shut up" by the same girl when I was getting angrier after asking that we be comped for the massive mistake. Mike told me that it didn't work that way. I go to eat with a friend who had done business with Price and was told that they blamed her for losing her own glasses for over a month, which they haven't even given her after they were made. I've heard horror story after horror story recently about Price Optical. They are more expensive than probably another Optician. I will be calling my insurance company to let them know what has happened. I would do lots of research on Opticians to find out who is the best in town.

I was a patient of Dr. Fogle's 8 years ago and lost contact with her after she moved on from that practice (who was not cooperative in telling me where she had relocated to). I searched online for sometime to no avail so I've been putting up with poor eye care ever since. Last month, I was looking at my list of approved providers from my insurance company and there she was, Dr. Fogle lives! I was estatic to find her because she was the best eye doctor I have ever had. She is both friendly and a high caliber professional who is interested in your overall eye health as well as quality of vision. She always ""nails"" my prescription and surrounds herself with a friendly staff that is skilled in filling her RX. While the selection of eye wear is not extensive, I did find a sweet pair of glasses. The staff was extremely helpful and patient with me while I seached for that perfect look and fit. I highly recommend Dr. Fogle and her talented staff.

After taking my whole family (4 kids) and referring friends, one of my step kids glasses were blurry for her. Her mother dropped in to make sure the prescription was correct. They double checked & referred her to a specialist. I later I found they billed me a co pay for the visit. After disputing it because a) I didn't take her or agree to charge, b) it was just a check to make sure the prescription was correct and c) it was not correct and they cost us hundreds for new glasses...they sued me for the $60 co pay and cost me $700 in court because I was too sick to show. We went to my specialist, and were told her prescription was too strong...it was incorrect. So we had to pay for new glasses again. Their staff were IMPOSSIBLE to work with and rude. Pay it or we will sue you. Who sues their customers for $60 with a legitimate dispute? What an awful experience there.

I have been there twice with my mother who has dementia, is 90 years old and gets around with a wheel chair. I did not feel that the first time I visited them that they were particularly friendly, but it went well enough. It also seemed that the equipment was very accommodating for someone with limited mobility and the staff seemed reluctant to be helpful and were not even really aware of how a chair might be too high and needed to be lower, etc. even though I was facilitating all the transfers. Dr. Shores suggested that, though she has thick cataracts in both eyes, she was seeing well enough and so we did not make any changes. Then she had a stroke and lost some peripheral vision, causing her to now have to look through the cataracts. The decision was to have them removed. We decided to use Dr. Shores to co-manage the aftercare, but had trouble coordinating appointments because they are closed on Wednesdays but we did it. When I went there a second time, I was running a few minutes late and called to apologize and let them know - we had just moved my mother to a new facility the day before and the new logistics were getting the better of her and me. They seemed even less friendly the second time, possibly because I was late. I left with an uneasy feeling. Then, with only 3 business days before her next surgery, they called to tell me they needed to get some more notes before her next surgery and I had to come in again - I was very frustrated to get such short notice when it's such a project getting her to appointments - not to mention my own tight schedule. I told her quite shortly I would call her back. I called the surgeon's office and asked them to find out why this was necessary. After attempts on their part and mine, the office finally sent the notes that they did have. It turns out that Dr. Shores had failed to run a test that was needed. I was pretty done with Hadlock Vision and apparently they were done with me and refused to continue to co-manage her care any longer. I was considering them for my own care as well and mom had already picked out some eyeglass frames from them - happy to go elsewhere.

I highly recommend Dr. Casteen. Her office is very welcoming, with a comfortable and clean setting. My husband and I were acknowledged as we walked in. Dr. Casteen introduced herself and took the time to know me. she did not rush me at all when checking my eyes. Since my eyes were making it hard for me to see and focus, she refereed me to see a specialist. Dr. Casteen did so much more for me than my own neurologist. I would highly recommend seeing her if you are looking for an Optometrist.

Miserable and mean doctor! I used my insurance for contact lens exam but have to go to another doctor and pay bc she won't give me a prescription for them bc I told her they were too strong, I see better in my glasses and she refuses to give me a weaker prescription, she says if she can't make me 20/20 than she won't give me any contacts. Don't go here! Now my insurance won't cover me to see another doctor
