I developed corns on my toes on each foot and after a few months noticed a black spot on my left big toe which I thought was unrelated. I immediately went to a dermatologist because of the spot on my big toe and was told I needed to have the toe biopsied for fear of skin cancer. After the very painful biopsy came back negative for skin cancer the dermatologist and my primary care physician suggested that since I could not recall trauma to that toe, I might have a discussion with the Shoe Fit regarding the inserts which could have caused the problem. When I returned to the store with the inserts, Sheryl became very defensive (without even looking at my toe) and proceeded to tell me there was no way this was caused by inserts. keep in mind, she did not manufacture them and she expressed no interest in looking at my toe. She did refund the cost of the inserts but let me know that she did not have to because the purchase was non-refundable but stated ""it was not worth it"" (I am assuming she meant to take the time to hear me out). I found her behavior astounding and most unprofessional. But recently I went in to purchase some top quality footwear for work (healthcare work). My first trip in was another great experience, the staff member (Becky) was great. Unfortunately for me, the shoes I purchased had a manufacture defect and became un-wearable after 4 days of wearing them to work. I went back into Roxanne's to do an Exchange, because I really like the shoes. My experience from here declines dramatically. The staff member I dealt with on this occasion was very short, cross, and I hate to say it...but just plain rude. I went into the store with the mindset that the defect was no ones' fault and certainly not the staffs' fault, so I went in cheerful and just wanted to exchange my shoes, but I was treated as if it were my fault, and to just hurry up and pick a shoe and just go away. I was offered the display shoes since it was the last pair like the ones I was exchanging, I declined, much to the salesmans dismay, and had to explain that because these shoes mold to your feet I wanted a pair that wasn't tried on so that they could properly mold to my feet. This was not a satisfactory reason in his eyes and he was overtly annoyed. Unfortunately my shoe size is one of the most common so most patterns or styles I chose were not in stock. So instead of settling for something I did not want and would not be happy with I decided to just have them order a new identical pair from the manufacature. I was told that it would take approx 7 - 10 business days, but because of the defect, the staff member said they would order a rush shipment on it (without my asking) so I gladly took up his offer. when I called.to check on the status of my shipment the following week the woman I spoke with on the phone was also annoyed and rude. Basically, if you purchase anything from here make sure you are satisfied with your purchase and hope that nothing happens to your purchase to make you go back in. Because, as long as you don't go back in as I did you will be treated fine but not if you have to return with a problem. I was warned of this by several of my coworkers who had this same issue with their store but thought that I would not encounter this problem...guess what...I did. When you spend good hard earned money, especially in this economy, you expect at least a small amount of courtesy, I sure didn't receive it. How is your mother they would ask... do you need anything? The doctor monitored her care and medications and adjusted some of them which we find was for the better. The nurses very competently watched for any changes in her condition. The certified nursing assistants were caring and gentle. The therapists patiently worked to increase her endurance towards the goal of returning home. Social Service was always available to answer questions and prepare us for the transition home setting up home care services and equipment. Dietary was always aware of food likes and dislikes and ensuring that she was eating enough. We brought her personal wheelchair because she's comfortable with it and while I hadn't noticed that a hand brake wasn't working, the nurse did and immediately, Plant Operations was there to repair it. Pastoral Care made sure she got to Mass, Recreation worked on including her in activities, she had weekly beauty parlor appointments and the Environmental services staff works hard to keep everything so clean. We're very thankful for the excellent care."
