This is one of my favorite mini-adventure places. If I want to go to dinner and pretend I am in Italy, this place is perfect. The staff is great, the owner (when he is there) is as friendly as can be. I love just about everything on the menu. From calamari to pasta, these guys do it right. I have recently been going to their happy hour (or 4 hours). They have one of the best happy hours in town and usually have a live piano player. You can get about 10 different delicious items for $5. Many of the wines and drinks are also $5. Try them out, you wont be disappointed.

I was a little skeptical because reviews were mixed, but was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the food. Agree with other reviews that the dining room was loud, but it didn't bother us. We had a great table table in the dining room, right near a window. Patio was not an option for us as it was drizzling and cold outside. We split a generic Caesar Salad. I had the Penne Vodka with Spinach, Fresh Tomatoes and Langostini. I'm used to Vodka Sauce being more creamy (NY-syle) but I liked this version a lot. It was only served with 1 tasty Langostini and I would have wanted another, but the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. S.O. got the Prime Rib - cooked nicely medium rare and served with a cooked perfectly baked potato with all the toppings and some veggies. Wine of the evening was a half bottle of Borolo. Service was attentive and quick.

went on a tuesday night. barely anyone in the entire place. had a gift certificate from a discount restaurant website. dining room is poorly decorated. menu is very pricey for the quality of food you get. my steak was so salty i couldn't eat it, everything else i could have made better myself. our server never came back to check on us, i was out of water and wine for over 20 minutes and he only had 2 other tables in the entire dining room. we were given a huge hassle from our waiter, accusing us of keeping our gift certificate because he misplaced it when ringing up our bill. was very rude and made a stiff comment about making sure to void it right away so we don't try to reuse it. this was supposed to be a birthday dinner for my boyfriend, turned out to be a big waste of time.

Brought my parents to Marco's and thought from the reviews that it would be wonderful. We were all wrong. The atmosphere in the bar is dark and cheaply decorated. We had to wait a long time at the bar (even though the restaurant was practically empty) and we had to wait for our drinks for a long time. Then, even though we had reservations, we had to wait to be seated for a LONG time. It was annoying as we were all hungry. The atmosphere where we were seated was sort of a deck but inside- it was odd because it had outdoor windows like we were outside but we weren't. The lights were too bright and it just seemed cheaply done, like an afterthought. On the plus side, we had a good waiter who knew his stuff and good food. That being said, I know of many other excellent restaurants where the atmosphere & service matches the quality of food!

Very disappointing service here. I was trying to arrange a nice dinner for approximately 20 people to celebrate the retirement of a trustee on our board. Salty's at Redondo Beach looked like the perfect option. After playing phone tag for a couple rounds, the group dining coordinator never returned my call. I called & sent multiple emails to the restaurant trying to get ahold of someone-anyone- who would help me make a reservation and get all of the dinner details sorted and never recieved a response. If this is the level of customer service I can expect when dining at this location, I will not be stopping by or attempting to make arrangements here any longer.

Terrible experience. Went there this summer to celebrate my birthday. For the money it's a big rip off. The waiter took our appetizers off our table before we even ate them! The bread was hard as a rock! Maybe it was old, but you couldn't even eat it or you'd break your teeth off! My boyfriend ordered lobster, there were no sides served with it and it taste like rubber! Very small potion for a very large price. Good thing he wasn't too hungry or he would of starved! Never ever will go back! All glamorous and high priced with food that taste unedible!! Just a big put on! Food is terrible! Rip off!

Poor service - expensive - food was messed up by SR3429 at Citysearch Had lunch on Dec. 22 with large group. Waiter ignored us. Food was messed up - not right. Had a ketchup bottle explode all over a couple of people in the group which was hilarious but waiter was not so sorry about. Had to ask for the waiter multiple times and bring things to his attention such as refilling drinks, food was wrong and ordered coffee and was brought cup and cream but no coffee. Perhaps he was just having a bad day but for the price, it should have been so much better. Waiter did NOT adjust the bill for the all the problems. My opinion is that I will not be back. If I were to get a gift certificate, it would get sold on Ebay. On a scale of 0 to 5, I rate this place as a zero. However the bathrooms are really nice. Pros: Bathroom Cons: The list goes on - stay away12/23/09!

Visited this place for the 1st time via a search on the web for Fish places!!! WOW, what a great experience. We walked in with a smile and were greeted with one. We sat in a quaint booth and Zach our server nailed it!! He did all the right things, greeted us, upsold when applicable, shared his favorites and let us make our decisions after he provide the specials for the day!! Both dinners were very enjoyable, favorable and priced correctly. Drinks, appetizer, entr?e for two well with the prices point for a night out. My husband and I have been going here for dinner & happy hour for several years. My initial thought was that it might be a hodgy-podgy stuffy place (w/ the retro feel of the place) but I was quickly proven wrong. From the hostess, to the bartenders, to the waitstaff, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and gracious. Attire ranges the gambit from casual to date night dressy and ages range from young love birds to families to ""more mature"" clientele! :) I came to like it so much I hosted my husbands 50th bday party here for about 50-70 guests. Again, from the beginning to the end, the event coordinator (Jason at the time) was thorough and professional. We reserved the 2nd floor party room w/ private bar & everythinge was just perfect! I even requested a certain bartender & he accomodated! He checked in throughout the evening of the party and the next business day he followed up to see if we were satisfied. When I mentioned that my husband & I had such a great time, we didn't even have a chance to eat, he immediately offered to make it up to us! It was by no means their fault that time got away from us! He enolled us in the Frequent Diner program & gave us credit for the $ spent on the party! That enabled us to visit more frequently and even turned our friends on to this place! We have since discovered that this place CONSISTENTLY offers fresh seafood, perfect steaks and THE best brunch in the area, not to mention the ambiance & service! When in season, the stuffed flounder is TO KILL FOR!!! and the Bananas Foster French Toast on the Sunday brunch menu is equally memorable! The martinis are perfect for listening to the Jazzy music at the bar and the wine list offers a great selection of reds, whites, & after dinner drinks (no headaches from this wine selection!). Even the washrooms offer creature comfort details like the superior hand towels that feel like 500 thread cotton, but are actually paper! I've lived in the city as well as the suburbs and this is one place that tops our list. It is a little pricey for todays economic conditions, but SO worth it! Skip the chain restaurants and save your pennies for this place! You will come to make it a favorite too!

We highly recommend the ShawВ’s Sunday Brunch, a hotel-style colossal buffet spread that is totally over the top, and affordable (much cheaper than the fine hotels) at $40 for each adult and $20 for kids (took my 11 and 8 year old kids recently and they loved it). I had a great make-your-own Bloody Mary for $5 more, which included good vodka and all the possible garnishes, including a plump jumbo shrimp, pickle, and bluecheese stuffed olives. Life is good.

My friend and I enjoyed the food very much. We both feel it was worth the money paid. Our waitress, Monica, was friendly without being overly friendly. The food was good quality for a buffet and would go again if we come back to the Orlando area. I am not sure why the others left such poor reviews. We almost didn't go because of the reviews. If you are expecting 3 or 4 star quality then don't come because this is a buffet not a cook to order restaurant. That being said... they offer some cook to order additions from the kitchen like sirloin steak without extra cost. We also found the deserts to be exceptionally tasty.

Our fish come from day boats rather than most commercial fishing boats. The plus side to day boats is that the boats unload within the same day and our fish arrive within 24 hours off the dock. We buy 90% of our fish whole, so that we are able to keep them fresh longer and fillet in house. Primarily, we purchase only U.S.A. wild caught fish and seafood. We also carry fresh steaks and additional specialty items. We hand cut all of our steaks fresh, daily. The steaks are then cryo-vacuumed to seal in the juices and freshness of the meat. We primarily carry the Certified Angus Beef brand steaks with a few U.S.D.A. steaks. We have both Choice and Prime grade beef. We also carry specialty items such as alligator tail meat, crawfish, lamb, Kobe beef, whole rabbit, and much more. If we don't have it in stock, we can usually order it for you.
