There are a lot of jewelers in Las Vegas, but you never know what you are going to get. After being quite unhappy with several in the area, including some of the bigger names, I searched online, then called the Better Business Bureau. I needed nine rings repaired, sized and cleaned. Several of which were fairly valuable. Aaron Lelah Jewelers said in their ad that they would do all of the above while you wait. I went in early afternoon, taking my rings. They would have done them while I waited. As it would have taken several hours, after talking to Aaron, I felt comfortable leaving them and returning. Although I didn't get them to the store until after 1 pm, they were repaired, sized and cleaned by the agreed upon time same day, at the agreed upon price even though they did more than we had discussed. I found Aaron and his staff professional, knowledgeable and personable. The store was well lighted, the items well presented and the store was extremely clean. I am a jewelery "nut" and it is difficult to find a store where you feel as if you are not only getting your money's worth, but that they are glad to serve you. I deliberately went in dressed very casual, and didn't feel for a moment that any judgements were made by Aaron or his staff. We will be returning to this store again.

Murphey later indicated he had begun as a watchmaker as early as 1851, possibly as a apprentice to his father, who was a native of Ireland. Murphey's sons, Arch ( 1866-1888 ), Orville ( b.1868 ), and Pinkney H. ( 1870-1925 ), succeeded their father as jewelers and continued to operate his business. A younger son, George Reaves ( 1874-1939 ), had taken over the jewelry store by the early years of the 20th century. He moved the business to this site in 1919. ( We moved to a new building in 2000, where we are currently located ). Murphey the Jeweler has operated as a family business throughout its history. The store has always offered selections of American and Swiss watches, clocks, and diamonds. Advertisements from the early years also boasted selections of sterling silver flatware, as well as a full line of pianos and organs. Kip Stodghill as well as the other staff members at Galaxie are absolutely wonderful. I had a ring that had been mercilessly stuck on me for 2 whole days and was causing me a lot of pain. I spent hours trying to remove it and even at my local fire department hoping that they could cut it off. After thinking that I would have to go to the ER to pay to get it medically removed, Kip took under 10 minutes to snap it off with the tools he had in the back, and did not charge me a thing. He is professional, knowledgable, polite, courteous, and an all-around phenomenal person. After thinking that I would have to get my finger removed, Kip saved my life. These guys always do excellent work and if it is not perfect they will work on it until it is! I have always taken my jewelry there to be repaired. It took one visit to a highly reputable jewelry store in Houston to resize a ring for me and it was extremely expensive to repair and they did a terrible job, telling me they could not resize the ring but would simply put balls in it to suffice. The balls hurt my finger and they removed them but did not offer a refund. I took it to Galaxie and it was absolutely perfect after one visit! They resized it with no problem at all. I developed arthritis recently in my ring finger and had to have a lot of rings made larger. They did a great job and the cost was very reasonable. I would never go anywhere else for repairs. I have also heard that they do great design work although I have never done this. This is a very friendly, professional place to go. I highly recommend it!

My husband purchased a 2 kt diamond anniversary ring, new wedding band set, diamond tennis bracelet, diamond necklace, and several pieces of white gold jewelry. He purchased the lifetime warranty on all items. Zales outlet has proven to be courteous and considerate. They have handled any concern or repair in a timely fashion and have always made us aware of future promotions. I have recommended them to several friends and co-workers and they have been just as satisfied. I will continue to recommend them to anyone.

A Yeti cup was setup to be engraved for my daughters teacher. It was dropped off on a Wednes. for a Fri. afternoon pickup. I was given a price of $26. I brought the paperwork back in to pickup my order after work Fri. At first the lady looked confused after I handed her my receipt. She went in the back and the person who had written up the order on Wednes. stated rudely. that she "called me" as she walked toward me. I did not receive a phone call or a vm from their store! "They didn't engrave the cup because they needed my permission to proceed. "The engraver said to her "that it is now $36", they can engrave it if I wanted to come back." I live in Melb. Bch., and it would have been over a 90 min drive to pick the item up at a later time. Instead I left knowing I would never step foot in their store again! If I misquoted someone in writing representing my small store, I would make sure I called the customer making verbal contact, correct my misquoted price, and apologize.

I have worked in customer service for many years and I felt very pleased with the way we were treated at the polished edge down by power and light. I will be getting married in October of this year and until today havenВ’t been able to find a wedding ring up to my fianc?s liking. We both felt very welcomed and had great service the entire time. We found exactly what he had been looking for and I plan on coming back this week to get my wedding band custom made. They had a great variety and many of the items were very original.

My experience was heartbreaking and gutwrenching. I was told that a ring was platinum and from the 50-60's. While my receipt states it is platinum, when I took it to a well respected jeweler, I was told it was not and the appraisal was less than 1/2 of what I paid at Polished Edge. They have been very difficult to work with, not returning calls when they said they would and even though we have in writing what they sold me was platinum it is not the ring they represented. Then they wrongly accused me of wearing the ring to an event. I suppose that is accurate, as we immediately left KC after the purchase to drive home to St. Louis in a nasty storm. The ride was eventful. I was in KC for a Friday night event, we stayed in town Saturday just to buy the ring. I never wore this ring to any event. Ever. I took the ring to our jeweler a few days later for insurance purposes and began trying to return it when told it was not what they sold me. We returned the item and though they said a check would be in the mail, weeks later - we have no refund. We contacted our credit card company as we had poor communication from the seller. I would have been delighted to keep the ring, if what was sold to me was what they put in writing. The price for gold and platinum are vastly different. I would have been nice it they had been more responsive to our concerns. I would never do business with them or recommend them to a friend.

What he proposed was not only incredible it fell in our budget we gave him perfectly. My hands are unusually large and he had to custom make my wedding ring and it came out perfectly like a work of art! I would not only recommend Guven's Jewlers I would tell you if you went any other place you are simply doing yourself a HUGE injustice!

Stay away from Pierce Jewelers -- this is a true "bait and switch" place of business. I went to see Buddy Pierce for a repair to a beautiful piece of jewelry that I treasure. He took an ample amount of time in order to gain my confidence with him. He quoted me one price for the repair and told me he would get back with me. After two days of waiting -- and no phone call from him -- I had to call him for an update. He then DOUBLED the price he quoted me for my repair and told me that "my staff reminded me that I was not charging you enough, it was an old price I told you" -- after I had already been quoted by HIM! He would not honor the original price he promised. I found it odd that the OWNER of the company (him) didn't realize just how much he should charge a customer. What a pathetic excuse for a business owner. I will gladly shop the competition.
