This misadventure started off with receiving a coupon book in the mail. I was lured in by the steak coupon. I drove by and saw that Rosemary Cafe boasted themselves a ""Steakhouse"" in neon on the building. I sought assistance in knowing their hours for a Saturday night and in so doing I found a rating among patrons of 4 stars. 76% satisfaction sounding great out of 30 reviewers. I didn't think there would be as much of a risk of my money but should have known as soon as I walked in and the manager was watching the news in the corner of the lobby. He didn't make eye contact or look our way when he said ""someone will be right with you."" Then a server found us a spot by the window. I was delighted with my girlfriend and her presence but then a snarly waitress came by to ask for our drink order. Her personality was that of an employee being reprimanded. It seemed at that moment I had made the wrong choice in steakhouses. She returned with iced tea, as they do not serve beer or wine, it was fine. In fact the iced tea was a moment of redemption. She began taking our order running through our choices of soup or salad she snuck in, ???I don???t recommend the broccoli soup,??? and right through to salads. Not a breath, thanks for that warning. I chose a house salad and my gal her favorite Caesar salad. Lame is my choice of words for the salads. There isn???t much you can ruin in lettuce a cucumber slice and a grape tomato unless your blue cheese dressing has no blue cheese or flavor. The Caesar had onions, tomatoes and pepperchini???s. Strike three? Yeah, but we were still there. Sady arrived with our dinners. After a long hike and full day I was really hungry so I wasn???t giving up yet. I had made the choice of French fries thinking a place like that would have a baked potato sitting in a steamer and it would be hard dry and flavorless. My gal got the potato and I was right, there wasn???t enough butter in the stale roll basket to revive it. She liked the crinkle canned carrots void of flavor, texture but filled with color. I tried one and aborted my ???vegetable.??? The fries were marginal at best and so I was left with this monster looking T-bone steak. I tried to cut a portion of it and it was all fat. I got my first bite of meat and it was overcooked but I didn???t fret as I knew the parts near the bone would be better. The bit lacked any flavor at all. Why can???t a restaurant put a little garlic, salt and pepper on a steak before they sear the outside from any flavor penetrating the flesh. I tore and ripped at the available parts of meat fighting past the sinue and toughness. I wanted my money???s worth so I kept my battle up until I was left with a pile of fat, bone, carrots, cold fries and my napkin on my plate. Sady the sad waitress returned and asked how it was, I lied. I just wanted out of that place, never to return. Don???t listen to the rest of the reviews if you are interested in this place for any of the above.

Not particularly impressed with the food and trust me I have given them several chances to redeem themselves. placing orders for fish dinners, burgers, appetizers, etc. Honestly I thought there was a national shortage of french fries when we would receive 8-10 fries with an order!!! The latest (and last time) was for 4 orders (40) of chicken wings, carry-out. I should note that they need to update their web site to reflect the current prices. The positive was the wings were large and crispy. However, someone forgot to put sauce on the BBQ wings, zero sauce, absolutely none. The hot wings box had a hole in the bottom and every last bit of sauce pooled in the carrying bag, the honey mustard wing sauce was so runny, it didn't stick to the wings. The Thai wings were actually pretty good. It might be wise to count your wings too, we were shorted 5 wings overall??? Don't bother wasting your time or money here.

I purchased a Groupon for this place and was pleasantly surprised. They are very nice people who go out of their way to make sure you're happy. It's almost as if they know they are off the beaten path so they try to make it a nice neighborhood experience. The salads and sandwiches are ample and good. it's tucked in a place you might not expect but the experience was also unexpected. So I'd recommend.
