It was the same temp, and when I turned it over, the same place where I cut was the same pink. There did nothing... I will agree with others here. True, the food is amazing. Yes, the seafood is out of this world. I tried the lamb with mint and it was delicious. However, aside from the food, the place itself is not all that. The decor is inviting for a private meal but the waiter staff was nowhere to be found. We needed a knife (dropped on the floor) and had to wait forever. I actually had to get up to get someone's attention. Not what I expected when paying about $40-45 per person (btw entrees and wine).. The food is delicious but be prepared to wait.

went to ryans for a nice early mothers day dinner and we were not seated at the table like normally when you walk into a restruant then they gave my husband a small childs glass said they didnt have enough glasses for him to have a adult size glass they gave him 2 refills in his glass for the 45 min we sat there about the time we were about to leave they brought him a larger glass. The ranch dressing on the salad bar was warm,the nacho cheeses sauce was like water. the piece of steak i ordered was not well done it was still raw. my 2 year old daughter got a drink with her meal and the waitress didnt bother to bring it to her. we hardley seen our waitress just the 1 time when she brought our drinks and then one other when she filled his glass and that was it. was no where to be found. looked for a manager couldnt find one. wanted chocolate ice cream for desert didnt have it or swirl even didnt have nothing but vanila i paid the evening price for dinner and it was not even worth the amount i spent the desert bar had no pies on it whats so ever they must be really going down hill. I had gone to home town buffet before going to ryans and they were closed so we decided to just go on to ryans i will neaver go to this place again. i feel if im going to spend 30 dollars for my family to have a meal i better get what i pay for. very poorrrr......

My family of 8 was eating here tonight First problem was paying almost $40 dollars for me my wife and 2 kids don't hardly eat anything. 2nd we was there 15 min and almost all the food on the buffet was gone and no silver ware to eat with so we had to wait for them to wash some and bring out food and rolls most of the food except the steak tasted bad and some tasted old the Floor and tables was nasty and bathroom look horrible. Last month my husband and I went to a restaurant like this one in Niagara Falls called Copacabana. It was so delicious that we looked to see if there was anything like it in Pittsburgh. We found Green Forest online and were excited about trying it out, especially after reading the reviews. What a HUGE OVER-PRICED DISAPPOINTMENT! We paid $40 per person in Niagara as well, but the meat there was spiced and cooked to perfection. The pineapple was served the same way as the meat, brought around to our table and freshly carved from the skewer. It was a fresh pineapple with maybe brown sugar and cinnamon spices...? What we were served last night was barely spiced fatty pieces of meat. The pineapple was like tasteless cardboard. It's a shame how much food we discarded especially for what we paid. I will say that the servers and bartender were friendly, but that was about the only good part of our experience. We never write reviews, but we could not and cannot believe how this place got as many good reviews as it has. Our guess is that there's no other place like this near Pittsburgh to compare it to. Pittsburghers, if you have a passport and 4 hours, the drive to Canada is well worth it instead of wasting your time and your money on this place.

Just got back from celebrating my friends birthday with my wife and 5 or so other couples. Excellent, friendly and polite service as well as an up-beat, cozy atmosphere. I could write about the deliciousness of the food for hours but I will summarize by saying that it is a meat lovers paradise. The buffet consisting of seafood, salad, soups, bread and cheese was of a great variety and prepared in very unique ways. Everything was to a very high quality and freshness! I had a wonderful evening. Thank you!

The steak house has been under the same ownership for 34 years. We serve only USDA CHOICE BEEF OR HIGHER. Our ribeyes are Omaha brand mid-western grain fed beef and our filet mignons are Sterling Silver. If you would like to investigate those brands feel free, I assure you they are the best money can buy. We also offer NY Strips, Porterhouses, Sirloins, Prime Rib, and more. As far as sizing goes, Our ribeyes are offered in 6, 8, 10, 12, and 16 ounce cuts. Our filets are offered in 6, 8 and 10 ounce cuts and both our ribeyes and our filets can be cut larger by request. The salad bar is the SAME salad bar that we have had for 34 years. It offers 7 dressings, 3 of those being homemade, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, green pepper, eggs, cheese, pasta salad, dill pickle, green and black olives, carrots, sweet pickle, banana peppers, cherry peppers, cottage cheese, peaches, pineapple, sardines, croutons, bacon, potato sticks, french fried onions, peanuts, oil and vinegar, a black pepper mill, and our lettuce is an iceburg / romaine blend. I don't know what you were looking for on our salad bar that you couldn't find but I do feel that we offer more than an adequate selection. We still use the SAME charcoal grill that was installed back in 1976 with real charcoal that we buy in 20 pound bags every week. I am sorry if for some reason you had a bad experience with us, we are always willing to correct any mistakes so that you leave us happy. I do find it interesting though that we have been in Middleburg for 34 years and we have no idea who you are and you obviously have no idea what we offer.

My husband surprised me on our anniversary with reservations to this wonderful restaurant. We had a starry night theme on our wedding, so Galaxy restaurant seemed a perfect place to eat for our anniversary. If you drive up to it it doesn't look like anything special, but the interior design is nice and the food is amazing. We may have eaten what is seriously the best meal we have ever eaten in our lives. We ate in the main dining room and ordered the fruit and cheese plate appetizer to start which was truly excellent. It set the tone and has truly ruined me for any fruit and cheese plate at any establishment in the future. Then I got the Sherry Lobster Bisque which was excellent and my husband ordered the seasonal salad selection which was also excellent. For our main dishes, my husband ordered the sirloin which was delicious and I ordered the Shrimp Diablo which was excellent, spicy, tender jumbo shrimp and linguine. For dessert my husband ordered the creme brulee and I ordered the mixed berry gelato. Both excellent. It is a nice restaurant, so an evening out with all the trimmings will run you a reasonable amount of money, but we have spent far more on meals nowhere near as excellent as the one we enjoyed last night. We will definitely be back!

Not sure what Dave T. is talking about, this place ia amazing!! We started with drinks in the Wine Room and finished with dinner in the Main Dining Room. What a great spot! If you've never been, you must go. The food is amazing! Salad was.. ok, but dinner, dessert and the wine list is outstanding. We eat out alot, this is a great spot! My family went to the Thanksgiving buffet, we had 6 in our party. They sat us way in the back and right in a main walkway. One of the members of our party was elbowed in the head by another customer who was going to fill their plate. We were under the air conditioning vent and so close to the back door we were all wearing our jackets. The food was good, tho not a lot of vegetarian choices, and the desserts all looked like they were store bought, not made in house, they had little eclairs that I have seen at costco in the freezer section. When we told the manager about the injury to the member of our party and the cold AC he turned down the AC and came and apologised to our party, no offer of a discount or any sort of compensation. The meal was $50.00 a person and drinks were extra, a soda was $3.00, with no offer of a refill, and the mimosas were 8 for a small champagne flute. For years my family has had the tradition of going to a buffet on thanksgiving. We moved and have not been able to find a good buffet, we were hoping this would fit the bill, but sadly we will not be going back.

Adelphia is definitely the best restaurant in South Jersey. The food portions are unbelievable and so reasonably priced. I see complaints for waiting for a table but I never had to wait for more than 10 minutes on a busy night. The hostesses (Maria) and waiters, Ari, Kieran, Stephanie and Bobby, to name a few, are very efficient and very knowledgeable with regard to the menu. The managers there always see to it that their costumers leave happy as well. Adelphia is definite top notch!!!

I've been going to rory dolan's for years for the night life and the food. The food there is really good. I work at a college that has an Irish Heritage event there annually (in the private party room.) The catering staff is very attentive and accomodating. The regular restaurant staff is terrific too. After 11 the resaturant turns into a bar/pub. Thursday nights are usually pretty packed with a great mix of people from college kids to retirees. The bartenders are attentive and fast even when it gets crowded.

Wish I had read some reviews before returning to this place. When we left in 1997 it was a good deal, had good food, great steaks and a fair price. Now, NONE OF THE ABOVE! he first steak that was delivered was less than 1/4 " thick, and medium well done, only problem was I'd ordered medium RARE. They got my order straight but cooked the damned thing nearly brown all the way through. I don't know how they could have cooked it med rare since it was so thin. Anyway the rest of the food had NO FLAVOR at all... except for the popcorn shrimp. They had been topping off the pile all day long I guess and when I came in I got to try some of the crap at the bottom which tasted like the breading had turned half way rotten, certainly inedible! The salad bar was absolutely filthy, where are the Rolla food inspectors? If anyone from management there sees this review, you guys are screwing up! Get back to the way it was in '97 and before, if that means firing every manager then just do it. SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS! There are no 1/2 stars so I'm going with 1.
